1. I love the 4th of July because I <3 fireworks. We are letting people up on the roof this year. I am SO EXCITED!

2. I am going to dinner with [livejournal.com profile] demanufactor and his girlfriend. It is funny I have known him for years on robotskull but have never met him. He will be the first person from that site to be in my condo. It is weird when the internet becomes real.

3. This morning while shopping I realized that the last couple of months I have been more social and much more open about my life and view points. I started thinking about it and I think it is because Evelyn passed away. For years she would give me advice to do that but I didn't take it.

4. I really wanted this pair of shoes but they weren't the right color to wear with my bridesmaid dress and I couldn't think of what else I could wear them with.

5. Last night I went to the library and got "Singer of the Sea". Then I went to the book store and got "The Symposium", "Breakfast of Champions", "Anansi Boys", "Atlas Shrugged" and the newest Fables book. I am pretty happy having a pile of books to read again.

6. I have a headache again. I am ignoring it as much as possible.

7. This last month I have been really happy with my body. I suppose I could get in better shape and I could lose some weight but really, I feel good about myself. Also, I feel like my hair and face are pretty, which I think is a first ever.

8. I still love my washer/dryer a lot.

1) I love The Fountainhead so much, I don't want it to end. Thank God it's so so so so so long.

2) Atlas Shrugged is gonna be a movie next year, apparently, starring Angelina Jolie. Say what you will about her good works, she will always be Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, to me.

The Fountainhead is one of my favorite books of all time. I was sad when I turned the last page.

I have about 150 pages left. :)

It's funny though, I don't think any of the characters is particularly likable. I don't cry when they cry, laugh when they laugh. And I think that's awesome, because it allows me to just be an observer without getting too wrapped up, so I can just enjoy the story.

I really, really like this book so far.

I couldn't finish Atlas Shrugged. It was so heavy handed. I was like "I GET IT! I GET IT!"

1. Your face and hair _are_ pretty, so of course you should think so.

2. I am done with your dad's tools. I'll return them tomorrow. Maybe we can go get your mom some batteries after brunch?

3. What new Fables book?!

1. :)

2. I am going to brunch at Triple Rock instead with some other friends (they didn't want to be social). However, I'll call you when I am done and see if you guys are still at the chatterbox since we are brunching at 10:30. Then I would be up for visiting best buy with you! :)

3. this one. I love it. Seriously a wonderful read. I didn't expect that to happen and WOW.

PS, if you haven't read it I'll lend it to you tomorrow. :)
