Mornings

I really don't wake up fast at all. Seriously, it takes me at least half an hour to be able to function in the morning*.

So, are you a wake up and get the day started person or are you more like me and slowly wake up person?

*[livejournal.com profile] serinia tells me that it takes a while for my soul to get back in my body when I wake up. This is sort of what it feels like but the description disturbs me.

I am most definitely a morning person. I'm wide awake as soon as my feet hit the floor...and thats usually pretty early. By 3pm I'm ready for a sieta though. :p

I have tried and tried to be like that. I am not. I get 8 hours of sleep a night, yet I can easily sleep the day away on the weekends. However, I have no problem staying up all night.

I never take naps, even a short one takes me awhile to wake up from.

I roll out of bed and am at full speed within 5 minutes if I have had enough sleep the night before. No caffeine required. I am that scary morning person.

that is most of my family. i am the one that can't wake up.

my parents "sleep in" on the weekends until 7. HATE

I used to be a "bounce out of bed" sort of person, but with our early alarm and hour commute, now I NEED an hour or so to really get into being a functional human. I can shower, dress and drive...but don't ask me to talk, interact or function.

I need an hour no matter what.

I don't like it, but I throw myself out of bed when it is time to get up. I'll wake up when I get to work.

I used to do that but this place doesn't care when you get in so i haven't been doing it. i need to get back in the habit. i just lay there not even sleeping.

That depends on a few things.
1) How much sleep have I had? If I've had enough, I'm alert and ready to go when I wake up. If I've not had enough, then forget it; I'm in a fog.
2) How much time do I have before I have to be somewhere? I find that my time expands to fill the time I've got. So if I'm late, I'm alert and on the move the moment my eyes open. That shot of adrenaline helps :P

i usually get out of the house within half an hour of getting out of bed. for me it is the getting out of bed (regardless of how much sleep i had).

hey! when do you go back to work?
