good sore

last night when i got home from work i went to my parents house to help roof their garage. it was a blast and i love using the nail gun. anyways, fast forward to this morning when my shoulders hurt from holding up that nail gun for a couple hours and my calves are sore from standing on the slope.

it hurts but it hurts in a good way.

also, one of my coworkers called me a tomboy because of all the stuff i do myself. i never thought of myself as a tomboy, not even when i was a kid. odd.

Tomboys are smart people who do the girl fun things, and the boy fun things!

Today I bought glitter glue, and a new pocket knife...

!!! It's because you're doing BOYS work there, and LADIES should be in the KITCHEN only.
I get quite annoyed at that. But, tomboy isn't offensive as such... although why is it seen to be impossible to do DIY and that and also be glamorous or girlie?? Next time, do it in your glitter powder ;)

i don't know, it was just a really weird comment

You shouldn't be automatically considered a tomboy just for not being a complete priss.
I think it's pathetic that any woman might not be willing to do the things you do...

exactly! what person would turn down the fun of using a nail gun?

i always thought a tomboy was a girl who played sports and wore "boyish clothes". i just thought that remodeling and all that just made you handy.

yeah, i am not a sports person and while my clothes aren't really cute they aren't "boyish" either. i think i am just handy.
