It's easy to plan a social event nowadays.

Just tell everyone to log into LJ at 9 p.m. Friday. Make sure you tell them it's a BYOB kind of party.

i have a NEW dance party phone! and you have seen it. i think.

Meh, you probably just need practice. They're relatively easy to plan.

You can always check out theknot.com which gives you detailed wedding planning suggestions, and then scale it down from there.

i think it is more of a hatred of the phone or talking to anyone i don't know.

i might actually use that suggestion for my brother's shower i am working on in a couple months.

I'm not good at those, either. I feel too responsible if people don't enjoy themselves. Sometimes I don't even bother to invite people to the show, because I want to enjoy a film without someone bringing it down.
