My FAVORITE is getting customer complaints when I try to tell them we really can't help them if their old-ass browser/mail client isn't functioning optimally. It's so great to have someone who's still using Netscape tell me off when I tell them their browser hasn't been supported by ANYONE for over 2 years.
Hey, at least it is IE 6 and not IE 5.5 that "is entrenched at our enormous enterprise and required by horribly brittle legacy applications" like gwangi's company.
If it makes you feel any better, up until 8-10 months ago, we still had ATMs running Windows NT. Very locked down and stripped, but it still ended up with customers (and premise owners) complaining of BSODs at the local 7-11, which was hysterically funny only because I didn't have to deal with them.
I still have IE6 on my computer. I use Firefox for everything. For the random website that is not compatible with FF, I assume that it was written for IE6. So far that has worked out every time.
Any version or Internet Exploder should go away and leave me alone.
I only use mine for the View Now function of Netflix. I haven't tested to see if the new Firefox runs Netflix View Now features. Two versions ago, it did not. Or I don't have the right Add-ons.
NT was one of the more stable things Microsoft released, but still... It's a little surprising that those ATMS don't just spontaneously start shooting out cash every time they get the least bit confused.
You don't have the right ad-ons. I'm pretty sure I dug around a bit the last time you complained about this, and found that they do exist but you have to dig for them.
That sounds too much like work and I'm lazy. You know me...I don't like manual labor and pressing keys or mouse buttons is just too much for me. You find the Add-ons for me and send my people a link. We'll evaluate your link and get back to you.

Re: checkboxes.
Also, you need one that says "Is entrenched at our enormous enterprise and required by horribly brittle legacy applications" MOTHERF-ING CHECK, sigh.
