This Wednesday's Rock Band is "Church Basement" themed. I wanted to make glorified rice because that was my favorite when I was growing up but looking at the recipes I got from my grandma I found "fruited tuna salad" and "cucumber jello salad". Now I am torn.

Also, I went to bed at 9pm last night and slept until 7:30 this morning. I guess I do have a cold.

Mmmmm, my mom makes cucumber jello salad with lemon jello and cottage cheese and it's brilliant! Definitely church basement food.

I know! I haven't had that in ages. I have to decide tonight which would be easier to make!

Guess it depends on how long the jello takes to set. It's times like this when I wish I worked from home. I could go make a jello salad and then come back to the computer.

DID YOU KNOW: Before fridges were commonplace in the kitchen, Jello salads were a point of pride in church basements. It was a way to show off that you had a fridge in which the Jello could set and be stored in up to the time you brought it to church.

I don't want to work from home. I never would get things done. Ha!

OH!!! That makes me want to make Jello salad!
