Weekend
1. Friday I went to Monticello to visit my good friend Heather. Monticello is about an hour away from my house, which in my world is really far away.
2. I met her kids since I haven't seen her since her first child's baby shower. Her 2.5 year old had such good verbal skills I was blown away. I didn't even realize he was saying my name until the third or forth time he said it. He read me all his books too. He was so very cute.
3. Her two month old was cute in the generic two month old cuteness. I like babies but really they are lumps until they are 6 months or so when they interact with the world more.
4. We went to dinner and sat there talking, right through a cover band, for hours. Then we went to her house and talked until 3 am when I had to go since Xerxes had a 10 am vet appointment. I got home about 4 am, went to bed and woke up at 10:30. oops.
5. Next I went shopping with Angie, which was a blast. I love shopping and talking. I went to the White & Black store because one of my coworkers had this great dress on from their and I wanted to see their stuff. I fell in love with so many things in there. We also went to Macy's (where I finally just ordered Jill's wedding present), Lush and Sephora. I bought some soap that smells like summer.
6. Then we went to Korean for lunch/dinner. I love Korean food so much.
7. Saturday night I was going to clean but I ended up watching Venture Bros. finally. I have been meaning to for months. I went to bed at 10 and slept until 8. I love sleep.
8. Sunday my mom and I rode to the train and took it to Ikea to see how she would get to work. We ate lunch there but it made me feel ill so I had to sit down for a bit. Then we took the train to downtown Minneapolis and looked at the Endless Bridge at the Guthrie and then rode our bikes over the Stone Arch Bridge. Then we rode home. My mom did really well. She did about five miles of biking without a problem. I think next week we are going to ride to the Falls.
9. The rest of the day was full of avoiding cleaning. I watched more Venture Bros., made cookies and played with my cats. Then at 11 pm I finally felt like cleaning. Dammit.
10. I am not sure why I numbered this list. It isn't really a list. Oh well.
PS. Yesterday while I was biking I was wearing shorts and a wife beater and I got checked out ALOT. It was rather flattering.
